  • 600 g fresh pasta lasagna sheets, cut into 20cm squares
  • 2 cup fresh ricotta cheese
  • 250 g grated provolone cheese
  • 250 g grated mozzarella cheese
  • 250 g romano cheese
  • 60 g milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil chiffonade
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • pre-made marinara sauce
  • shredded mozzarella
  • grated reggiano parmigiano cheese



  • Preheat the oven to 175° C
  • Combine the cheeses, milk, egg, basil, garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and mix to make the cheese filling.
  • Lay the sheets of pasta flat and spoon a line of cheese filling down the length of each sheet. Roll to close. Place in a 20cm X 20cm casserole dish with 1 cup of marinara sauce.
  • Place each manicotti, seam side down.
  • Top with another cup of marinara sauce and the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano.
  • Bake in the oven until bubbly (about 45 minutes).
