  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 cup cup fresh
  • 2 cup fresh or frozen wild blueberries
  • 1/2 cup water (optional)

Preparation

  • Add the bananas or papaya, pitaya, and wild blueberries to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add up to ½ cup of water and blend again until desired consistency is reached.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
  • If you don't have access to fresh or frozen pitaya and wild blueberries, feel free to substitute them with blackberries, cultivated blueberries, or cherries.
  • For a thicker and creamier smoothie, freeze the bananas or papaya ahead of time.
  • To keep your smoothie nice and cold, try adding at least one frozen ingredient, such as frozen pitaya, blueberries, or bananas.
  • Experiment with different toppings, such as sliced fruit, nuts, or coconut flakes, to add extra flavour and texture to your smoothie.
  • This recipe makes 1-2 servings, depending on the size of your glass. Enjoy!
