Liver Rescue Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 cup cup fresh
  • 2 cup fresh or frozen wild blueberries
  • 1/2 cup water (optional)

Preparation

  1. Add the bananas or papaya, pitaya, and wild blueberries to a blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add up to ½ cup of water and blend again until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
  4. If you don’t have access to fresh or frozen pitaya and wild blueberries, feel free to substitute them with blackberries, cultivated blueberries, or cherries.
  5. For a thicker and creamier smoothie, freeze the bananas or papaya ahead of time.
  6. To keep your smoothie nice and cold, try adding at least one frozen ingredient, such as frozen pitaya, blueberries, or bananas.
  7. Experiment with different toppings, such as sliced fruit, nuts, or coconut flakes, to add extra flavour and texture to your smoothie.
  8. This recipe makes 1-2 servings, depending on the size of your glass. Enjoy!
