  • 1 cup left over fruit/vegetable fibre pulp leftover from juicing (left over from morning smoothie).
  • 2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond butter
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180C. Place leftover fruit/veggie pulp in a large bowl.
  • In a blender or ThermoCook, lightly pulse the oats and combine with the pulp in the mixing bowl. Add the walnuts and flaxseed and continue pulsing.
  • Add the honey and almond butter to the bowl and mix them all together. Once the mixture has formed a dough, take it out and roll it out evenly on a cookie sheet. Cut the dough into 8 bars and spread them slightly apart.
  • Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until cooked through. Cool for 10 minutes.
  • Store in the fridge in a plastic container. Using the H3000 2nd Gen allows you to heat your nut milk directly on making using the heating plate.
