Ingredients
  

Ingredients for the Hummus Dip

  • 500 g cooked chickpeas
  • 120 g tahini
  • 100 g olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • juice of a small lemon
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 ice cubes

Ingredients for the Garlic Paste

  • 500 g garlic cloves
  • 1.2 l vegetable oil
  • juice of a small lemon
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 250 g ice cubes

Instructions
 

Preparation of the Hummus

  • Soak chickpeas overnight and boil them with a teaspoon of baking soda the next day.
  • Rinse and drain cooked chickpeas. Remove as many shells as possible. You can always use canned chickpeas instead.
  • Add your chickpeas into a blender jug and blend to achieve a thick paste. If you are using the Optimum G2.6 blender use the "Grind" function.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and blend together until reached a creamy consistency.
  • The best way to achieve a creamy texture is to add ice cubes to the mixture while blending.

Preparation of the Garlic paste

  • Add garlic cloves and ice cubes into the blender jug and blend till a thick paste is formed. If you are using the Optimum G2.6 blender use the "Grind" function.
  • When the thick paste is formed slowly add vegetable oil. The slower the beter.
  • Blend until a smooth texture. Enjoy!
