Ingredients

  • 500 g almonds

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread 500g of almonds evenly on a baking sheet, ensuring they are in a single layer for even toasting.
  • Place the baking sheet with the almonds in the preheated oven and roast them for 10-15 minutes. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning, as you want them to be well toasted and fragrant.
  • Once the almonds are roasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 15 minutes. Allowing them to cool will prevent the oils from separating too quickly during blending.
  • Transfer the cooled almonds to a high-speed blender or food processor. If using a high-speed blender like the Optimum 9400, blend the almonds until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. This typically takes just a couple of minutes in a powerful blender.
  • Once the almonds have reached a smooth and creamy texture, transfer the homemade almond butter to a sterilized jar. Make sure the jar is clean and dry to maintain the freshness of the almond butter.
  • Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dry place. Homemade almond butter can last for several months if stored properly.
  • Enjoy your homemade almond butter in various ways! Spread it on toast, mix it into smoothies, pair it with fruits, or use it as a versatile ingredient in your favorite recipes.
