Healthy Cottage Cheese Pasta Alfredo Recipe

- 3/4 cup cottage cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 8 oz cooked pasta
- shrimp ( or protein source of your choice )

- In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, milk, arrowroot powder (or cornstarch), and salt. Blend at high speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the blended mixture into a saucepan and place it over low to medium heat.
- Add the dried oregano, dried basil, and shredded Parmesan cheese to the saucepan. You can also add your chosen protein source at this point, such as cooked shrimp.
- Simmer the mixture in the saucepan, stirring occasionally, until it slightly thickens. This should take a few minutes.
- While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. For example, if you're using Banza pasta, cook it until al dente.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and transfer it to a large bowl.
- Pour the Alfredo sauce over the cooked pasta in the bowl. Make sure to coat all the noodles thoroughly with the sauce.
- Toss the pasta and sauce together, ensuring that all the noodles are sufficiently covered with the Alfredo sauce.
- Serve the healthy shrimp pasta Alfredo immediately, and enjoy your delicious and nutritious meal!
