- 500 g fresh ground chicken breast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 green capsicum, chopped
- 1 yellow capsicum, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
Hunan Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp chili paste or harissa paste
Instructions
Preparation
- Grind your chicken breast as per meat grinding instructions.
- In a small bowl mix the sauce ingredients together.
- In a large pan, add 1 tbsp oil and chicken and cook until a good crust forms before breaking apart, then finish cooking by breaking it apart with a spatula and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside. Add to the pan the garlic, ginger, capsicum, and onion. Stir, cooking for 2-3 minutes
- Add in the sauce and chicken and toss to coat, cooking for 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Serve with rice and steamed vegetables.
