Delish Strawberry and Cashew Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashew nuts soaked in boiling water for an hour and drained
  • 1 l chilled water
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp flaky salt
  • 500 g fresh strawberries, hulled

Preparation

  1. Soak the raw cashew nuts in boiling water for an hour, then drain and rinse them thoroughly.
  2. Add the soaked cashews and chilled water to a high-speed blender, and blend on high speed for several minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Strain the cashew milk through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to remove any remaining solids.
  4. Return the cashew milk to the blender, and add the hulled strawberries, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and flaky salt.
  5. Blend on high speed for several minutes until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  6. Pour the smoothie into two tall glasses filled with ice, and enjoy!
