Cute Molang Strawberry Tart

Ingredients

  • 60 g sugar
  • 15 g corn starch
  • 6 strawberries
  • 235 g milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 pre-baked 9-inch tart shell

Toppings

  • diced strawberries
  • toasted pistachio (optional)
  • Molang meringue cookies (optional)

Preparation

  1. In the Thermocook Essential, combine sugar and cornstarch on speed 5, and mix well.
  2. Add chopped strawberries, whole milk, vanilla extract, and egg yolks to the Thermocook and mix on speed 4 at 90°C for 9 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  3. Transfer the custard to a shallow dish and cover the surface with cling wrap to prevent skin from forming.
  4. Allow the custard to cool for 10 minutes before refrigerating it for at least 2 hours.
  5. Once chilled, whisk the custard until smooth.
  6. Transfer the custard to a piping bag.
  7. To assemble pipe a layer of strawberry custard at the bottom of the pre-baked tart shell.
  8. Add the diced strawberries and toasted pistachios on top of the custard layer.
  9. Pipe another layer of strawberry custard on top to fill the tart shell.
  10. Decorate the top with sliced strawberries and meringue cookies.
  11. Refrigerate the tart for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving to set the custard.
  12. Serve and enjoy your Strawberry Custard Tart!
