Cute Molang Strawberry Tart

  • 60 g sugar
  • 15 g corn starch
  • 6 strawberries
  • 235 g milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 pre-baked 9-inch tart shell


  • diced strawberries
  • toasted pistachio (optional)
  • Molang meringue cookies (optional)



  • In the Thermocook Essential, combine sugar and cornstarch on speed 5, and mix well.
  • Add chopped strawberries, whole milk, vanilla extract, and egg yolks to the Thermocook and mix on speed 4 at 90°C for 9 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  • Transfer the custard to a shallow dish and cover the surface with cling wrap to prevent skin from forming.
  • Allow the custard to cool for 10 minutes before refrigerating it for at least 2 hours.
  • Once chilled, whisk the custard until smooth.
  • Transfer the custard to a piping bag.
  • To assemble pipe a layer of strawberry custard at the bottom of the pre-baked tart shell.
  • Add the diced strawberries and toasted pistachios on top of the custard layer.
  • Pipe another layer of strawberry custard on top to fill the tart shell.
  • Decorate the top with sliced strawberries and meringue cookies.
  • Refrigerate the tart for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving to set the custard.
  • Serve and enjoy your Strawberry Custard Tart!
