Creamy Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp bourbon (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a blender, combine the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ground nutmeg, bourbon (optional), and eggs.
  2. Secure the lid tightly on the blender.
  3. Blend the mixture on medium-high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture becomes creamy and frothy. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Once blended, taste the eggnog and adjust the sweetness, nutmeg, and bourbon to suit your preference. Blend again briefly to incorporate any adjustments.
  5. Pour the eggnog into a pitcher or container.
  6. Cover the pitcher or container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chilled.
  7. Before serving, give the eggnog a good stir to ensure all the flavours are well distributed.
  8. Pour the creamy eggnog into serving glasses or mugs. You can garnish each glass with a sprinkle of nutmeg or a cinnamon stick if desired.
  9. Serve and enjoy the rich and creamy goodness of homemade eggnog!
